The work was front, side and rear extensions plus a new upper floor. Between them they took the house from a single low storey to a full two-storey plan without moving off the plot.
The finished house has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and living space that reads as one open ground floor rather than a series of small rooms. Bungalows are often the best value for this kind of project, because the plot is usually generous and the roof is coming off anyway.
