Chalet-style house at Parkfield with buff brick, white render and a block-paved drive
Loft Rooms and Whole-House Renovation · 2022

Parkfield II

A chalet-style house remade as new throughout. The living-kitchen sits under a wide rooflight with sliding doors to the garden, the attic holds more bedrooms, and each bathroom has a character of its own.

The house reads calmly from the street in buff brick and white render. Behind that front everything is fresh, with one continuous light-grey palette of floors and walls that lets each room's shape do the work.

The ground floor centres on a living-kitchen lit from above by a large flat rooflight, with sliding doors that pull the garden into the room. The staircase lands in the open plan rather than a separate hall, so the floor runs clear from front to back.

In the roof, the bedrooms and a shower room sit under the slopes, each lit by paired rooflights. The bathrooms carry the personality: a copper-mosaic cloakroom downstairs and a black-framed walk-in shower above, set against the quiet of everywhere else.
