Rear extension and internal reconfiguration that opened the back of the house into a single living-kitchen, added a master en-suite, and brought light deeper into the plan with French doors and an oriel seat.
The brief was to gain an open-plan living and kitchen at the back of the house, with a closer relationship to the garden, while reorganising the upstairs layout to fit a master en-suite without expanding the footprint upstairs.
A single-storey rear extension was added across the full width of the existing house, finished with full-height French doors to the garden and an oriel window in the dining area. Inside, the kitchen was placed against the side return with an island defining the transition into the living space.
Upstairs the plan was rebalanced to deliver a family bathroom and a new master en-suite. Both bathrooms share a tiled and stone palette consistent with the kitchen finishes downstairs.
